Story

Every penny raised helps us support people affected by Addison's Disease, a rare disease with just 9,000 sufferers in UK and Ireland.

It’s hard to believe that with so few people affected it would be someone in my family that would bring this disease to my attention. I’ve never been very good at doing things because I want to or because they’re good for me. My new found love of running came out of doing RED January in aid of MIND and to support my friend. The chance to do this half marathon was a challenge but also came with the added bonus of being a way to support my cousin.

This is understandably a small charity and they need all the support they can get to help look after those that turn to them for help. Thank you for donating.

P. S. I have no idea why my pic is sideways. It won’t let me change it!

About the charity

Founded in 1984, we're the UK and Ireland charity for all affected by Addison's disease and adrenal insufficiency. We work to support and promote better medical understanding of this rare, life-threatening condition. All donations go to our 'unrestricted' funds, to help us in this vital work.
