I have always enjoyed the benefits of exercise and the challenge of pushing one’s physical abilities. I have decided to take on a new challenge of a white collar boxing match for charity.

The Event known as ‘ Fight Night’ will take place in Dubai on the 29th of January 2021. 

This is a Gala Dinner Event which is now in its 19^th year. Attended by more than 700 invited guests.

Fight Night is exclusively for everyday members of the local boxing club
(non-professional). Each competitor takes part in three/three minute rounds versus an opponent of similar weight, age and experience.

My personal training is well underway. This is without doubt the most physically and mentally challenging commitment I have taken on. I have already lost more than 10kg in weight over the last three months. Now with only five weeks to go till Fight Night the training demands are stepping up to twice per day. The combination of learning all aspects of boxing is extremely demanding and is a lot more than simply a physical challenge. This is an experience like no other and yes the nerves are starting to kick in!

I am looking to support the charity ‘Just a Drop’.  Just a Drop brings sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects to communities transforming lives around the world. I have spent 33 years generating a living from the water industry and having the opportunity to give back a little for something which so many us take for granted is a privilege.
