I'm doing this walk for Motor Nueron Disease Scotland as part of my local Round Table Fund Raiser. One of our friends, Douglas, has recently lost his brother-in-law, Neil, to the disease. Neil was diagnosed in Feb 08 and he and his wife Louise set up a Blog in the hope that through being open about the condition and its progress so that they could raise awarness of the disease and keep people informed of their situation - www.platitude.co.uk

Neil was writing up to the day he died of the disease 25th Feb 2009. His wife and their son, oscar, have recently moved near to us in Pittenweem to re-build their lives and continue to raise awarness of MND.

Our walk will be the Lairig Ghru near Avimore on the 12th September 09. Its a 19 mile hike up and down dale.
