We offer expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness

Story

This Thursday 8Th September I am going to attempt to complete a triathlon.

1 mile loch swim, 26ml cycle, 7 mile run.

Crazy and yeah I should know better by now, but I seem to have become a bit of a challenge junkie of late.  I was disinclined to do
the official one last week at Crossmichael because I had to shoot other stuff but also because I find the competitiveness thing a bit intimidating. I am doing it together with Jim McClelland (Thistle Inn Jim) who organises the official event, he was also was unable to take part.

I am doing it in memory of and gratitude to, my good friend Vernon Ballantine who died a year past January after a long battle with cancer. His life and work was inspiring and his passing cut through me, in effect leaving me acutely aware of how short and precious this life is, I vowed there and then to try to make the most of it.

Marie Curie cared for him in the latter days and thus is charity I wish to support.  Here is my Just Giving page, sorry for the short notice.
