London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·

Our amazing London Marathon team are taking on 26.2 miles to raise funds for the fight against Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Story

On 23rd April, I will be taking on the mammoth task of the London Marathon to raise money for Crohn's and Colitis UK. I've witnessed first-hand how debilitating ulcerative colitis is. Yet, it's still an illness very few people know about and one that lacks in funding.

While I am what I would class as an 'intermediate' runner with a few half marathons under my belt, this is the first time I am attempting a marathon - it's  BIG challenge. But, it's one that doesn't compare to the challenge of living with colitis.

Crohn’s and Colitis UK is a national charity in the battle against Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. We are fighting to achieve a better quality of life for the 300,000 people in the UK suffering physically and emotionally from these and other forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Ultimately, we want to find a cure.
