Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Pete's JustGiving page.
As many were aware, Pete was a wonderful man, generous, caring and loving, with a wicked sense of humour. He'd lived an interesting and full life, most of which was with his wife Eileen, whom he loved to the moon and back. Following Eileen's death in 2014, Pete embarked on a new adventure as the Director of MPA Enterprises Ltd with Albert and Mandy. He loved his rifles and had a varied selection of firearms and enjoyed shooting regularly with Albert, Mandy, Elizabeth and Victoria. With his passion for airsoft, he was once again able to shoot pistols.
As many will testify, Pete spent many hours talking to staff, customers and friends about his experiences and life events. He shared his knowledge of firearms and engineering with Albert, staff members and customers, always ready with ideas and suggestions to help.
Over the past couple of years Pete's health had begun to deteriorate and there were times when paramedics were called to check he was OK. Pete, Liz and Mandy got to know many of the crews who spend time checking him over and determining if any further medical attention was required. Having ridden in a variety of ambulances, it was Pete's opinion that the older ones definately required an update, as the suspension was terrible and not conducive to keeping dressings in place, up your nose, on the journey from Southend to Broomfield!!
The crews always had time for Pete, never rushed him in a decision whether to accept further medical treatment or to remain at home. If he was taken to A&E he would be greeted by others who had attended him before. Pete had a lot of time for the ambulance crews, so would be overjoyed if people could donate to them rather than send flowers.
