Story

This January, I'm taking part in the Winter Walk for Endo to ensure that everyone with endometriosis gets on the right pathway to care. Endometriosis is a chronic pain condition that affects 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth. Those suffering with condition are often faced with making challenging and difficult decisions during diagnosis, treatment and management of endometriosis. Endometriosis UK exists to offer support and reliable information as well as fight and campaign for change and better treatment options.

Having been diagnosed with Endometriosis in the beginning of 2022, I felt at ease after not knowing what on earth was wrong with me - but also that I had jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire. Not knowing where to go from there, with limited treatment options feels isolating. This chronic pain condition has effected my mental health, my work, relationships and day to day life, and I’m forever grateful to organisations like Endometriosis UK that help those who struggle with this condition. Although this chronic pain condition can have such a negative impact on one’s life, it can also bring together an incredible community. I have found support in friends, family, and fellow endo warriors online!
