Story

As some of you may know, my family lost my much loved Grandad to cancer earlier this year. I have always been incredibly close to my grandparents, who’ve been like another set of parents to me and one of the biggest inspirations in my life. Since losing him, and after a year of being cooped up, I've felt an overwhelming urge to do something positive in his memory and have decided to raise money for Prostaid, a charity that has supported him for many years and is somewhere he himself often raised money for

Based in Leicestershire, Prostaid raises public awareness of prostate cancer locally, offering vital support for local men newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment and to patients with advanced prostate cancer. They fund new and innovative treatments, tests and equipment, and aim to save as many lives as possible.

So, I’m taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge which consists of climbing the tallest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in less than 24 hours... including the drive between the mountains! Anyone who knows me will know that I’m FOUL with no sleep, so it will certainly be a challenge, but one that will be made easier by knowing that I’m helping such an incredible charity - a charity that was so important to Grandad and will always have a place in my family’s heart.

Any support is much appreciated.
