Story

In November 2012 Ben, his wife and young son were walking home when a car suddenly went out of control, mounted the pavement and killed his wife.

I read about the accident in the newspaper and remember crying on the train. I had no idea that Ben was a neighbour, or that his son was at nursery with many children we knew or that his wife was the best friend with a good NCT friend of ours. It was a story that really touched home.

Through Ben's blog, which has subsequently been turned into a book, I had followed his heart-breaking story and have felt the enormous benefit that he has found in the work of a number of bereavement charities, in particular Winston's Wish. Winston's Wish is a unique charity, helping bereaved children and young people rebuild their lives after a family death. It's a charity that needs our support.

I would really appreciate anything that you could donate.

Many thanks
