I am a Palestinian born and raised in the North East of England. Are you aware of what is going on in Palestine at this very moment? 

What started off as Palestinian families facing eviction from their Jerusalem homes in Sheikh Jerrah neighbourhood lead to peaceful protests among the West-Bank, which was met with violent attacks in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) during the last 10 holy days of Ramadan, to Gaza now facing the most violent airstrikes & war crime ever reported, the people trapped & unable to defend themselves against one of the powerful multi-billion dollar defence system in the world; the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) 

Bare in mind these acts of OPPRESSION, COLONISM, APARTHEID & ETHNIC CLEANSING, have not been going on just recently but in fact 73 YEARS of suffering in silence - social media is now our voice & it is more visual than ever before. 

This last week alone, 219 civilians in Gaza have been killed including SIXTY THREE CHILDREN. Every day that number grows and it's the hardest, most painful thing in the world not being able to do anything about it. I have found peace in my faith and raising awareness via social media/protests but I wanted to do something more personal, to challenge myself in order to raise money and EVEN MORE awareness for my people back home. 

Medical Aid for Palestinians are one of the only UK based charities who donate to Palestine & Palestinian refugees solely, and are already on the ground in Gaza delivering emergency aid. However with medical supplies continuously being in dangerously short supply, after decades of blockades imposed by Israel, and further damage on a collateral scale to infrastructure & hospitals via recent bombings, the situation is dire and they need our help right now! Please help us if you can! - donations and/or sharing our cause.
