Hello all...
As you may already know, in September last year I lost a good friend, Marine David Fairbrother, who was killed in action whilst serving for his country in Afghanistan.

On 19th September, Dave was leading a foot patrol in Helmand province (aiding the Afghan National Army in search of IEDs) when his troop unexpectedly came under attack from close range fire. Tragically, Dave received a blow to the head and was pronounced dead on arrival at Camp Bastion, becoming the 7th (and last) Royal Marine to be killed whilst on operation Herrick 14.

I met Dave skydiving, during my time at the University of York skydiving club....he was a lover of several insane and idiotic events and was often found in the bar at the end of a day's skydiving!

Though I said I wouldn't officially fundraise, I would like to to raise as much money as possible in Dave's honour to help The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund. The RMCT looks after the families of servicemen across the UK who lose their lives in action.

I know times are tough, but I would be really grateful if you could donate what you can. There is no donation too small!
