Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2013 · 25 May 2013 to 26 May 2013 ·

We support Edinburgh's Royal Hospital for Children and Young People by giving seriously ill children and their families the extra support they need when facing a life-changing hospital visit. We speed up recovery, take away fear and provide reassurance, distraction and fun every step of the way.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Amy and I am seven and a half years old and have cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus after being born three months early. I have to do physio exercises every day to keep my legs and body strong and I go to the Sick Kids a lot to see Dr Eunson and other doctors for appointments and operations. They always look after me brilliantly and I would love to help other children like me that have to go to the hospital lots.

That is why I am doing a difficult Triple Challenge this summer - firstly I will run a 1.5km junior race at the Edinburgh Marathon in May, then Mummy and I will do the 3 mile Challenge Scotland walk in June and in July we'll do the 5km Big Fun Run in Edinburgh. I promise to train hard for this and it will help with my exercises to keep my legs and body strong and will keep me fit too.

I would like to raise money for the Sick Kids hospital to help lots of other children like me and I'm also determined to show people that I can do lots even though my legs don't want too!

Please help me to raise money if you can and help me to reach my target of £250.00 - it will make me and lots of other children very happy. Thank you very much for supporting me.

Love from Amy xxxx
