I've chosen to raise money for Only Connect because I believe everyone deserves a chance. Smaller, lesser known charities often get neglected but they need as much support as the bigger ones, and if I can help a little, I will.

Only Connect focuses on providing support and training for prisoners and ex-offenders as well as those at risk of offending with the aim to reduce crime.

Various programmes are offered and Only Connect have seen a significant positive effect. There has been a reduced rate of re-offending among those who have participated in the programmes.

Many of us have experienced crime or know someone who has experienced it and it has a huge impact. If supporting offenders reduces crime then we should all be in support of that.

I have had people I've known from school who have got involved in serious crimes but when I knew them, I would not have guessed that their life would go down that route.

I've also experienced petty crimes such as theft and burglary. With a little guidance, these offences can be stopped.

It's not only crimes that will be reduced: by contributing we will be able to help these people use their skills and attributes to help communities and organisations and develop themselves.
