Great North Run 2016 · 11 September 2016 ·

Tiny Lives is a charitable trust that helps to care for 800+ premature and sick newborn babies and their families each year. It supports the Newcastle Neonatal Service at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary that cares for babies from across the North East and Cumbria.

Story

To further the great support that Amy's office (Irwin Mitchell LLP, Newcastle) are giving Tiny Lives this year as the 2016 chosen office charity, we are running the Great North Run to raise much needed funds for the very worthy cause.

The Tiny Lives Trust is a registered charity held close to our hearts that helps to fund the care of premature and sick newborn babies and their families.

Tiny Lives provides a range of support to the Special Care Baby Unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary such as equipment, specialist training, specialist support staff and research.

The Unit serves a very wide geographical area and it is not unusual for babies to remain there for weeks, if not months. Tiny Lives funds a full time Paediatric Social Worker who supports families emotionally, as well as practically, at one of the most critical times of their lives. Your donations also help towards funding Tiny Lives' full time Paediatric Physiotherapist who helps parents to understand how best to help little limbs develop and supports families with the transition from ward to home.

With a mission to support the highest quality of care on an ongoing basis, Tiny Lives needs to raise more than £250,000 each year.

Thanks for looking at our page; we are so grateful for any donation no matter how small!

Wish us luck!
