Amy's 'Aff my a**e for Ardgowan'

If you've been living under a rock for the past year, you'll be unaware of the current situation we've all found ourselves in.
If you've been present during this pandemic, like me you might be feeling fat and fed-up.
Sadly as the gyms have been closed, the only exercise I've been doing is using my arms to shove a bar of chocolate (or five) into my red-lipped mouth.
In a bid to ACTUALLY do something and to get motivated for this hugely anticipated summer we've been promised, I'm going to be walking 10,000 steps per day during March.
For some that might not be a challenge, but for me I barely walk the length of myself. These days I only walk down the aisle where M&S keep their Pornstar Martini cans.
I LOVE Ardgowan Hospice and all they do. I report on their work weekly and it is truly humbling. Not only that, I worked there for my first ever 'big lassie' job as their fundraising officer and my friend Elaine McNeill would call it.
Most importantly, they also cared for my fabulous aunt Gail in her final months.
Gail was utterly amazing; she truly is the kind of woman I aspire to be like in life. A well-travelled fashonista with expensive taste on a budget - I like to think she's passed her big personality to me.
If she were here today, I've no doubt in my mind that we'd be completing the challenge together wearing a gorgeous pair of heels in the process.
March is also my birthday month and seeing as I won't be necking a bottle of champagne any time soon down Gourock, feel free to donate the money you might have spent buying me a drink in Café Continental to this outstanding place.
I'll post updates if I don't keel over and have even bought a coat with a hood - the first time I've adorned one of those since I was about 10.
Thank you in advance for your kind donations you beautiful people - times are tough at the moment. But as our pals at Tesco say, every little helps. ♥️
