Story
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
Roger's Story
Roger suffered such a stroke in September 2019 while on holiday in Marbella and it has robbed him of his independence and his ability to communicate easily. After spending 4 weeks in hospital in Spain and another 16 weeks back in Nottingham City Hospital, he returned home in January 2020. Roger now requires 24 hour care. This is tough on his wife, Lynne, but help from organisations like the Stroke Association is vital.
On 18 July, we (Richard, Amy, Imogen and Jack) will walk 10 miles in the Derbyshire Dales (Roger's favourite place to take his beloved grandkids) as part of the Walk to Remember, in the hope that we can raise a bit of cash for this wonderful charity. Some of our family and best friends are going to join us on the walk.
Please support us!
P.S Roger and Lynne will celebrate their Golden Wedding Anniversary this year!
