I am going to be running 13.1 miles at the Great Birmingham Run as part of the first-time runner challenge by Cure Leukaemia - and I only have 8 weeks to train! I'm really not a runner and have never raced before but this is a cause very close to my heart.

As many of you know, in March last year my mum was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and has since undergone 4 rounds of intensive chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. She is now in remission. 

I am so thankful for the research and care provided by Cure Leukaemia, because without it I wouldn't have my mum. 

Please donate to this amazing cause and I will do my best to get around the course! Together we will cure leukaemia faster.
