Story
Thank you for visiting my page! ❤️
I am lucky enough to have been given a charity place with Stroke Association in the 2023 London marathon which is taking place on the 23rd April 2023.
I will be running the marathon in memory of my wonderful stepdad, Bob Cooper, who’s life was tragically cut short by a stroke in 2014 when he was just 53 years old.
Bob was always an inspiring person who would continually challenge himself. Whether it was running, cycling or cave diving he would always strive to achieve his goals. He continues to inspire me today and is the main reason I decided to run the London marathon.
Bob left a huge hole in so many people’s lives when he passed away and knowing that I am running in memory of him and for a charity which helps so many is a huge motivation to complete the 26.2 miles.
I am aiming to raise £2000 for Stroke Association but want to try my best to surpass this if I can. Before September 2022 I couldn’t even run 3 miles but I am on track with my training plan which is going well so far! You can follow my journey on Strava! 😬🏃🏻♀️
The Stroke Association supports people to rebuild their lives after a stroke as well as providing critical specialist support, funding critical research and campaigning to make sure people affected by a stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives.
Thank you so much for your donation, it truly means a lot❤️
