Virtual Walk for Autism Acceptance · 2 April 2021 ·

For 45 years we’ve led the way in supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals, and their families, across the North East of England. We work to create a society where autism is understood and accepted, inclusion is the norm, and autistic people can lead fulfilled lives.

Story

Jacob was diagnosed with Autism in December 2019. Anyone who knows him will know what a bright shinging star he is and what joy he brings. Each day comes with its own challenges and he faces them head on with the support of those around him. Jacob also struggles to walk distances so with a target of 5 miles, his determination will see us through. We have chosen to walk on Friday 2nd April to raise awareness and funds for North East Autism Society who work so tirelessly to offer support to adults, young people, children and their families.
