Story
Never ran a marathon before; unlikely to run one again. However, the chance to raise funds for such a great cause, and to do so together with my daughter Harriet, proved irresistible. My mother, who has been diagnosed with dementia, depends increasingly on the care of many people. I would like all other sufferers to be equally well cared for.
We were meant to run the race in 2021; our places were deferred to this year, 2022.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
My employer has very kindly agreed to match-fund to an impressive extent the donations I receive.
Please give generously. Thank you!
