Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

With over 55000 new diagnosis of male cancer a year and one man dying of prostate cancer every 45 minutes, why not help by giving ORCHID – Fighting male cancer, an early Christmas gift by donating today: My story: Just over a year ago I was unfit, overweight, negligent of my health and mentally not in a good place. Like many men, I was unaware of men’s health and took mine for granted and exercise most definitely wasn’t a priority. Fast forward a year and a half, I have lost nearly 3 stone I’m much more active, mentally in a better place and so much more aware of my health and men’s health issues.

After reaching this point, I felt it was important to start challenging myself and that Is why I am thrilled to be running the London Marathon and even more thrilled that I will be doing so on behalf of ORCHID, fighting Male Cancer. As a small charity, your support will really make a difference in helping the 55,000 men facing a male cancer diagnosis each year.

I have to say it’s an absolute privilege to have been given the opportunity to run the London Marathon on behalf of this, perhaps little known but fantastic, charity, who are there for so many men and their families in difficult times. I therefore ask for your support as I embark on this huge and possibly the greatest challenge I have ever faced.

After all, as men, we don't which one of us is next and might need the help that ORCHID can provide.........
