At Macmillan, we will move mountains to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

The handsome couple in the photo above are my parents - Rena and Andy.  Thankfully we still have my mum but my dad lost his battle with cancer several years ago.  In the last stages of his illness Macmillan Cancer Support provided great palliative care for him.  My family and I greatly appreciate the kindness shown to him and how they helped his death to be as comfortable and dignified as possible.  Countless other families feel the same way.

My family can never repay Macmillan for how they helped us but we can help them to help others.  Macmillan are funded purely by charitable donation and I'd like us to create a £1000 donation for them.  My part will be to walk the 26+miles of The Mighty Hike on 28th August.  If you felt able to sponsor my activity with a donation via this page I'd be very grateful. Let's see how close we can get to the target!  I'll publish a regular report of my progress through my training plan on my FB page - Fat Man Walking.

Thanks!

Andy
