Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m running both the London and Brighton marathons in April and it would be really good if you spare a few moments and sponsor me. I am raising money for the Springboard Project who provide support and respite services for child with special needs.

The Springboard project truly makes a difference to our lives and the lives of the families that use them, they provide respite sessions and clubs that allow the children to go into a safe environment and experience so many opportunities that are not available as they cannot access mainstream clubs. It also provides time for the family to have a break and for us personally time to reconnect with the other children.

Now a little backstory, I’ve always been sporty but have only been running since late 2015, I was truly bitten by the bug. It all started when someone suggested doing a 10k for charity, how bad could it be I thought well after 1km into training my lungs were ready to explode. Well I managed to get through the race and that was it no more than 10k, well two years later and I’m somehow doing a half marathon, then the thought goes through my head let’s do a marathon. Yes, I am mad!!

Well I entered for the ballot for the London Marathon but no one gets that at the first attempt so I also entered for the Brighton Marathon, well turns out I did get a place in London so I’m now doing two marathons over the space of three weekends. I start with Brighton and finish with London.
