The Travers Foundation is a volunteer run Charity that provides funding and financial support to 13 to 30 year-olds to help them improve their skills in sport, music and arts. We help local teams, groups and individuals in Rutland, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire to achieve their potential.

Story

When you were growing up, were your heroes’ sportsmen or women, actors or musicians? These role models provide real inspiration.Today to reach the peak in sport, the creative & performing arts, you need funding as well as lots of talent. Not everybody has financial support. Charities assist youngsters from all backgrounds fulfill their dreams.The Travers Foundation helps 13 to 30-year-olds improve their skills in sports, the creative arts and the performing arts. We help local teams, groups and individuals to achieve their potential.

To raise funds for the Travers Foundation, their funding team leader Andrew Hartley and co-conspirator James Firmin will be cycling from Gretton, Northamptonshire to the Eiffel Tower, Paris – a distance of approximately 350 miles. They will leave Gretton Village Green at 9.00am on Wednesday 31st May 2017, aiming to arrive at the Tour Eiffel in Paris in the afternoon on Saturday 3rd June.
