To celebrate turning 40 this year I wanted to do something significant. Inspired by our friend Dom who was one of the kindest most inspirational people I have ever had the fortune to know, I am raising funds for two Sobell House who supported Dom in her final months
My challenge is a Year long fitness challenge which will involve 365 work outs across the year. The guidelines and rules for this are listed below.
- Each workout must be a minimum of 20 minutes
- One workout per week can be core/low intensity to help with recovery but at least 3 must be HIIT and 2-3 running (injuries permitting)
- More than 1 workout can be completed in a day (1 x run and 1 x weights for example) but each session counts as 1 regardless of length (a 40min run doesn't count as 2 sessions)
- Over the course of the Year as part of my challenge I will complete at least -
- 15000 press ups (average of just over 40 per day)
- 15000 sit ups
- 15000 burpees
- 15000 squats
- 500miles (average of just over 40 miles per month)
5. Injuries permitting, I will complete at least 1 half marathon race in the year
