Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 28th April I will be running the Stirling Half Marathon with my Dad in aid of two charities which help people suffering from two illnesses I currently battle, Depression and Type  1 Diabetes. These are both very close to me and my family. My Dad will be doing it for Diabetes Uk and you can sponsor him via his own just giving page which i will post details of.

I will be running for SAMH which is a charity helping people suffering with mental health issues. As mentioned this is something I suffer and battle every single day and have done so for over 4 years. This at times can be an effort to get out of bed and even contact friends. In the modern world we dont talk enough about our issues and its about ensuring people have the confidence to speak up and get the help they require when they need it. The money raised will go towards helping people in their time of need and hopefully break the stigma of keeping things in and not talking about you feelings. I have learned to openly discuss my feelings and tell friends and family when im feeling down but for some its not that easy. Without the help I have and still do currently receive today and without the help of my close family and friends it could have been a very different story for myself.

Please donate and help mysef and others battle this terrible illness. Any donations are greatly appreciated and I thank you all in advance.
