Story
Hi,
Three years ago, we lost our dear friend Blake to Cystic Fibrosis. He was only 24.
On a personal level, until I met Blake I never knew anything about CF and through my friendship with him and following the work of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (for whom we're walking) I'm now much more aware.
There is no cure for CF. The average life expectancy for someone with CF is just mid-30's though far too many, like Blake, die in their 20's.
The CF Trust do remarkable work researching, battling and trying to find a cure for CF. Please read more about what they do here: http://www.cftrust.org.uk/
Blake did more in his short life than most do with many more decades; I'm still trying to catch up with him even with the extra years I've had. He taught all who met him how to value life and enjoy it to its fullest and in supporting the CF Trust in this small way, we're trying to afford CF sufferers extra time to enjoy theirs.
Whilst 12km around a beautiful park is hardly throwing oneself out of a plane, it will raise much needed funds for the Trust and we, and they will appreciate even the smallest donation.
Thank you.
