Rob Roy Way 2014 · 22 May 2014

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In November 2013, my youngest son was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Although there is no known cure at the moment, Crohn's and Colitis UK, provide financial assistance towards medical research. It has been a challenging time for him already but he has proved that he is a fighter and is not going to let Crohn's get the better of him.

On Thursday 22nd May 2014, five friends (Mike Purdie, Keith Purser, Kevin Brett, Jamie Ross and Alan Rough) and I will set off to walk the 80 mile Rob Roy Way. The walk starts in Drymen and heads through the beautiful Perthshire countryside, of Aberfoyle, Callander, Killin, Kenmore, Aberfeldy and finally arriving in Pitlochry. In addition we are walking part of the West Highland Way from Drymen to Balmaha, which should add another 15 miles onto our legs ! We have set ourselves five days to complete the walk and we are hoping for some nice weather to accompany us.
