Story
In January this year I lost my girlfriend Leanne (Aged 25) to a malignant brain tumour. The continued feeling of pain and sense of loss is almost impossible to do justice to in words. Imagine the person you love the most in the world and then imagine what life would be like if they were cruelly ripped away from you forever. If you can do this then you have a brief glimpse in to the current lives of the loved ones of Leanne.
By cycling across the country with some of her best friends I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to assist The Brain Tumour charity help find a cure for this disease and hopefully create a time when people wont have to go through what her family and I have had too.
Whether you can give a lot or only a little your donations to this great charity will be gratefully received.
Info abut the charity:
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults aged under 40 yet research is chronically underfunded. Over £500 million a year is spent on Cancer research yet less than 2% is spent on brain tumours.
The BTC is the UK's largest brain tumour charity which rely's solely on donations. Their aim is to fund new pioneering research which will hopefully improve what is a ridiculously poor statistical 2 year and 5 year survival rate. (A prognosis rate that hasn't improved in 20 years)
