Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  As a Consultant at Southampton Eye Unit and Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Southampton, I am hugely grateful to all the kind people who raise funds to help my work.  In order to maximise my own fundraising during 2012 I have entered the Great South Run with my wife Helen and our friend Eilieen.  We will all be grateful to supporters who feel they can help us reach our target. 

I would like to publicly acknowledge all donations made which encouraged me with my effort to make good times for my challenges last year - your support really spurs me on and I know it will help Helen and Eileen too. The Gift of Sight Appeal raises funds to support my research at the University of Southampton/Southampton General Hospital.  Supporting my forthcoming challenge will

a. Raise much needed funds for our research and

b. Keep me healthy so I can keep researching!
