Story

Rich Walklate was my friend from the earliest stages of childhood and was an amazing friend and a great man. He was a unique and brilliant guy who was also an excellent athlete and ultra-runner. He passed away from Sepsis in 2018 and I am lucky enough to be able to raise money for the U.K. Sepsis trust in memory of Rich.

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
