At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dementia is a cruel disease and will effect 1 in 3 people over the age of 65. I have witnessed this first hand and it's a cruel soul destroying disease that needs to be stopped by finding a cure and early diagnosis to slow it down.

Watching someone stripped of everything that classes them as being human is the hardest thing to do when you are helpless to do anything to stop it.

My dad died of this disease and spent over 17 years battling it and now as a tribute to him and to help raise support for their charity,

I'm gonna swim 10,000 km in November.

30 days of swimming!!!!

My dads Birthday was on the 20th November so it seems right to complete this challenge in his Birth Month

Please 🙏 give what you can afford.
