On the 31st of January 2010 I (with my older brother) will be taking
part in the “Tough Guy” endurance race. Tough Guy Race consists of a
cross country run (6-8 Miles) followed by an assault course (2.5
Miles).
Running the course involves risking barbed wire, cuts,
scrapes, burns (from actual burning hay bales!), dehydration,
hypothermia, acrophobia (fear of heights apparently), claustrophobia,
electric shocks (fun), sprains, twists, joint dislocation and broken
bones.
Before running the course one must sign a "death
warrant" which states that one acknowledges the risks and dangers the
course brings along, and that one can not claim in the case of injury.
So
Death Warrant signed all I ask now is that you part with some of your
hard earned cash and donate to ‘Help for Heroes’ a British charity that
provides better facilities for our wounded British servicemen and women.
My
brother is currently serving in Afghanistan and I felt that the best
way I could support him is by helping other soldiers who haven’t been
as lucky as Matt has been so far.
So please dig deep and help others who are injured and in dire need of better facilities.
Thank you
