Story

My 1500 challenge is in two parts (changed slightly).

1 - I will be riding 325km from coast to coast on 21st June as part of a group. This is the route and starts at 4am! (not on a cargo bike). I used to do these distances easily but I haven't ridden over 150km in 2.5 years now.

2 - I will also be riding a cargo bike to Brighton loaded with camping kit and will be plotting a route of 150km and covering 1600m of climbing along the way. The route below is the basis of the 150km.

The furthest I've ridden the Cargo bike is 45km I think around London and that was pretty flat. It's heavy, not that efficient and not very fast either. But there's no point sponsoring me for something easy is there!

To make this worse I am a long way away from my peak cycling fitness of 2017 / 2018 and not really done much riding for a long time. This will be a real challenge for me and also a good reason to get fit.

Money isn't easy right now but hope you might be able to spare a little for this excellent cause.

Here's the official blurb: I am taking part in Club Peloton's The 1500 to raise money for Coram, Club Peloton's main charity beneficiary, which receives 60% of grants. Club Peloton's other charity beneficiaries, Cyclists Fighting Cancer, MSA Trust and Tom's Trust, will also receive a proportion of fundraising.
