Hi All,
It’s my birthday and I will be 34 on the 3rd of November.
When you are young it’s rightly about presents, parties and cake. All of which I had and enjoyed immensely as it always almost involved fireworks!
As you get older your focus changes. Now I have a family of my own which I love dearly, it means another year spent with the people I love. For which I will forever be grateful. Forgetting the presents, parties and cake. All I wish for is health and happiness for those closest to me.
My dad, my daughters grandad was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer a couple of years ago, his still here, doing so well and his name is Terry Savage. Affectionally known as “Uncle Tel” by all his close workmates.
I believe, and I think he will also agree as to one of the reasons he is doing so well is alongside the medical help he receives is the support of this wonderful network of people.
As well as themselves helping, aiding and supporting all who have been affected. They have created a community that look out for one another which is so rare today, and I know has helped my dad so much over the last couple of years.
So this is a request, to all that would happily buy me a beer or card... please don’t. Instead put a couple of quid into this fabulous charity that has not only kept my dad motivated, it has also enabled him to meet his granddaughter, and her to meet him.
