Andrew's West Highland Way Race page

West Highland Way Race · 22 June 2019
Hi all and welcome to my fundraising page, my name is Andy and in June this year I will race the full 95miles (152km) of Scotland's iconic West Highland Way.
The reason why I have decided to raise funds for Macmillan is because I would like to acknowledge the excellent information, support and secondary care they offer to people who are battling cancer. Unfortunately this is something that is very close to my heart and I have recently seen firsthand the services offered and the positive impact that comes with the care provided. I would really appreciate if you could donate whatever you can afford to help me reach my fundraising goal of £950 (I think I’m worth £10 per mile...?).
The West Highland Way race is one of the world’s longest established ultra-marathons, first taking place in 1985 on the long distance trail between Milngavie (just north of Glasgow) and Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. If you are interested in any more information on the event please visit - https://westhighlandwayrace.org.
Macmillan Cancer Support is here to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, providing physical, financial and emotional support. So whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.
