Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 13th of May I am flying to Nepal to trek for 11 days to Everest Basecamp at 5346 metres altitude. Some might say that this is an achievement in itself but I will then running 26.2 miles to Namche Bazzar - this is the WORLD'S HIGHEST ALTITUDE MARATHON (and my first)! Read more about the event: http://www.everestmarathon.com/home

I will be raising money for the Juniper Trust, a small charity which focuses on community projects around the world such as building schools in underdeveloped areas, supporting orphanages and providing solar powered lights to villages without electricity. I will be visiting one of the projects while I am in Nepal - a physiotherapy unit and school for physically and mentally handicapped children (known as ABKV and PRAN). Read more about the Juniper Trust and the projects: http://junipertrust.co.uk/

Your donations will contribute greatly to the projects which the Juniper Trust supports. If you would like your money to go to a specific project featured on their website then please make a note of this with your donation. I am involved with the ABVK and PRAN projects in Nepal so donations are likely to go there unless you specify another project.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you!

Wish me luck... the fastest Brit last year completed the marathon in 6 hours 45 minutes so it's going to be tough!
