I am taking part in the Great North Run in September this year to raise money for Martin House Hospice. This is a charity very close to my heart who do fantastic work for children and provide support to families in Leeds.

 After my mother in law passed away suddenly in Feb this year. I felt inspired to give something back and set myself a new challenge, something to push myself out of my comfort zone and  to raise money for the charity she valued. 

This is a race I have never completed, and have consciously never entered as the distance can feel quite gruelling at 13.1 miles. Not my favourite distance at all!

I am happy to undertake the training required and pound the streets of Newcastle in an effort to raise money in Joyce’s memory.

I have pledged to raise £300 and plan to undertake a training plan to complete this goal over then next few months.
