Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After having lost both my mum and father-in-law to cancer, in 2007 and my dad diagnosed with prostrate cancer in 2017, it's time to use my passion for cycling to raise some money again.

That year my world was torn apart and my heart was broken forever.

Life has not been the same since and I miss them every day. My mum was my world. She was a very special person who taught me the meaning of life and to be happy. Everything I do is to make her proud.

In March, I turned 40 and I wanted to do something that would not only challenge me physically but mentally too. So I have decided to take on one of Britain’s famous long-distance cycle rides, Land’s End to John O’Groats. Starting on 16 August 2021 I will be pedalling the entire length of the UK. Cycling more than 1,000 miles in just 12 days, it will be the hardest thing I have ever attempted!

In July I am also cycling coast to coast from Morecombe to
Bridlington, in three days, as a warm-up and this is no mean feat either!

Your support will help get me through some of my darkest times (and I’m sure there will be a few) when I’m cycling, so if you have a quid or two spare to donate I would be eternally grateful. Thanks, Anna xxx
