Thank you all so much for supporting me in my efforts to get to Honduras/Chile. I will be setting up a blog page and will post regular updates about my time aborad on there, I'll leave the adress on this site.

Hello! Welcome to my JustGiving page!

My name is Anna Mniszko, I'm 18 years old studying my A-levels this year.

In November I went to the isle of Coll for a selection course with the educational charity Project Trust and was selected to volunteer in Honduras for 8 months to teach English among other things to primary school children. Project Trust never takes away a job from a local person and every trip is fully supported both at home and abroad to ensure that both volunteers and communities get the most out of their time away.

To fund my trip I need to raise £4,250

So far I have raised £1200!  

 

UPDATE:

 

Having come back from my training I now have a much clearer idea of what will happen over the next year or so. 

Firstly, due to several placements falling through I will be going to Chile not Honduras - I will spend 2 months helping in a disabled care home and then move to teaching english in a primary school, both in Santiago. 

 Secondly, the exciting news is that I have now raised £4033! I'm incredibly close to my target, thank you all so very much for helping and donating over the last year, it really has made all the difference.

Theres still time to donate £10 to our Hundred club, with the draw in late November, you could be in with a chance of winning some serious cash! Please get in touch at something_9@hotmail.co.uk if you're interested.

My date for leaving will be some time after the 5th of Janurary but in the first two weeks of the month, I will give out the final date when I get it.
