Story
I will be trekking in the Gokyo & the Renjo la region of Nepal in October - the biggest walking challenge I have ever done so it will be quite a challenge! I thought it would be great to also raise some money and awareness of a charity my dad has worked with closely for more than 25 years. The charity REMAP custom-makes equipment to help disabled people live more independent lives. They do incredible work, making equipment which is custom-made to the individual's needs, whatever these may be. When a device doesn't exist on the market, Remap makes it for free! It means people can be more independent day-to-day and do activities they love without being held back. It could be as simple as making a ramp to fit perfectly in someone's home, or even helping prospective paralympians prepare for competition by tailor-making their equipment.
On average, to help one person it costs £70, so please give generously if you can! Imagine if we could raise £1500 - that would mean we help 22 more people. Lets support these innovators who make such a difference to people's lives. All the funds I raise go to Remap, not my trip.
