Black Rock '5' Kinghorn · 11 June 2010
Completed the race, last night! Did it in just over 50 minutes. It was hard going but I felt brilliant at the end. At one point, the water was well above the knee! This was when we were running around the Black Rock. Thanks to everyone who sponsored me and to Alison for keeping me company (she got my free bottle of beer at the end). Remember you can still donate money to my fundraising for Cruse Fife through this page.
Ta!

Hi Folks,
I m running the Black Rock '5' in Kinghorn on Friday 11th June at 7.45pm for the Fife Branch of Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland. I have been volunteering for Cruse for almost a year. They do fantastic work to support individuals, families and children who have been bereaved. Like every charity they need funds to keep doing this great work.
How do they help others?
Volunteers listen and offer support to callers on the nationl phone-line.
Cruse provide counselling for individuals who are needing help coping with their grief. All counsellors are fully trained by Cruse and give their time on a voluntary basis.
Cruse needs funds to train counsellors as well as keeping their service running efficiently. The Fife Branch are also hoping to expand their services further. More funds would help them do this.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
