Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
This May I'm going to be walking the Camino de Santiago to raise money for Cancer Research UK. The Camino is a 900 kilometre(!) walk starting in France, traversing the Pyrenees mountains and then crossing the breadth of Northern Spain to finish on the Northwest coast at Finisterre.
I'm doing the walk to raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of my Mum, Margaret, who passed away earlier this year from cholangiocarcinoma- a rare form of cancer.
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research, and I passionately believe the only way to improve detection, treatments and outcomes for people like my Mum is through research.
It's a REALLY long way and is going to be a huge challenge for me, and I'm doing it on my own- the donkey isn't coming it's just going to be me and my rucksack!
So please, make a donation and ask your friends, family and colleagues to the same. It is apparently traditional to burn ALL your clothes at the end of the walk and if I reach my fundraising target, I will follow this tradition!
