This March, I am attempting a circumnavigation of Great Britain on
a sea kayak.The kayak ‘Annie’s dream’, is named after my nan, who had MS. It was always her dream to watch her grandchildren grow up and be fruitful.

The planned expedition will cover a distance of over 3,000 miles,
clockwise around Britain.  I aim to leave Cardiff the first week of March (weather permitting), paddling approximately 30 miles per day, and aim to return approximately 6 months later, taking on the most exposed and notorious stretches of the coast.

Most of you have walked the coast, and wondered what's further
ahead. I am like most. I understand the enormity of my journey along the shoreline, the extensive personal challenge, including battling with fatigue both mentally and physically.

My nan having MS was my first experience of unavoidable suffering.
I grew up with an outlook that has only furthered my enthusiasm for love and laughter and I do believe we can conquer any emotion with a simple smile. My nan’s smile was there for me each and every glance, and continues to inspire me. Annie battled fatigue no doubts about it, educating me with the daily routine day and night. I aim to battle fatigue with the same smile while I am circumnavigating the coast of the UK.

The key aim of the expedition is to raise as much money for a charity close to my heart; The MS Society. I am hoping to meet a lot of people along my travels and increase awareness of MS, and the great work the charity is doing.
