On May 24th last year 2017, I was diagnosed with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. The prognosis is very bleak with only 1% of cases surviving 5 years. 95% of cases will die within a year. Most within 6 months. The reason for this is that Pancreatic Cancer symptoms only show when the disease is very advanced and has usually spread to other organs in the body.
It may be too late for me, my symptoms didn't show until a few weeks ago, but please help me raise funds to help make PC more detectable in the early stages so that we can help make those survival rates better. It breaks my heart that I won't see my beautiful granddaughter Betsy Rose grow up, so please help me raise funds for research into early detection techniques.
Update.........
I must say that I have been overwhelmed by the support and funds raised for my cause. As I write, I am now only 2 weeks away from surviving 12 months of this horrible disease without any treatment other than pain relief and digestion aids.
The reason for this survival is, I think down to the positivity given to me by way of the support I've received..
Please continue to support Pancreatic Cancer Action in any way you can so that continued awareness and early detection gets a chance.
