Story
The Apprentice Construction Plant Mechanics that attend Askham Bryan College are raising funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as a means of ‘paying it forward’ and saying thank you to all the emergency services that attended a very serious road traffic collision in which four of our classmates were injured whilst returning to college following their
lunch break. The seriousness of the incident required one of the casualties to be air lifted to Leeds hospital by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the three remaining casualties were taken by road to York hospital. We have set ourselves the target of raising a minimum of £2000, which will cover a proportion of the costs incurred by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance whilst dealing with this incident.
The reality is that the Yorkshire Air Ambulance requires £12000 per day in charitable contributions to keep it operational, we would simply be blown away if we could raise enough money during this fundraiser to cover one full days operating cost. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this page and for any donation no matter how large or small you may wish to make. Please remember that every penny the Yorkshire Air Ambulance receives, ultimately, goes towards saving lives and helping people in their darkest hours.
