Orcas were captured and ripped from their ocean homes to be confined to tanks for the amusement of visitors and tourists and to line the pockets of the seaworld corporation and beyond. This is an inhumane and disgusting operation. There are so so many reasons why this needs to be stopped. For this reason it makes me feel embarrassed and ashamed to be a part of this 'human' race. There is so much being done and much more to do in terms of fundraising and support for the research, education and rescues planned including the creation of specifically designed Sea Sanctuaries for them on release.

Please watch 'Blackfish' and educate yourselves. This is a travesty of the greatest proportions. Killer whales are one of the animal kingdom's most intelligent creatures. They have highly developed emotions and behaviours. Seaworld has violated the animal welfare act numerous times and continues to spread it's lies and misinformation to the public. Please inform yourselves and please spare anything you can to help.
