Story

Last year I got to experience the Zambia IDEALS project, coaching basketball, and delivering HIV and AIDS workshops. Working alongside other coaches from othe UK universities (Northumbria, Bath, Durham, Stirling and St.Andrews) for 6 weeks.

This year I have been selected to be one of the team leaders as part of IDEALS. This will involve me living in Zambia for 4 months, undergoing basketball development work, whilst mentoring and leading the students coming over to coach the following sports ( Basketball, football, netball, rugby, and volleyball). This project has run for 6 year and proves to be continually succesful, aiming to sustain Zambia's sport development. Although the project is sports based, the students prepare and deliver health related workshops throughout their time on placement, in order to make the children more aware of the issues around them, such as HIV and AIDS.

This is a truly rewarding project which needs your support! Your money will go towards supporting the project whether its sports equipment resources or other necessities that the children will benefit from.

Please donate, and be apart of this, whether your donation is big or small, it will be very much appreciated.
