Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 4th January 2008 our lives changed forever when our beautiful daughter Olivia was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Since then Olivia has had to endure 1000's of finger pricks, injections, set insertions, reservoir changes, blood tests, appointments, count carbohydrates and calculate insulin for everything that she eats and carry around equipment that none of her peers have to do.  She has done this with no complaining or 'why me'.  We are so proud of her.

JDRF are carrying out vital research on producing an artificial pancreas which, whilst it is not a cure would improve the lives of those suffering from Diabetes.  A friend has been involved in trials and I have seen first hand the massive difference this technology can make!  As with all research money is desperately needed to carry on this great work.

Please, if you can spare some pennies please sponsor me.  Your support could make all the difference in the future to not only Olivia but 1000's of brave kids just like her. They live with this 24/7, 365 days a year with NO break EVER!  They are all heroes.

Thank you. xxx
