In September 2016 Ava became critically ill with a serious heart condition. She spent some time in Addenbrooks hospital before being moved onto the Royal Brompton. Whilst in addenbrooks we were given amazing accommodation in Acorn house, a charity house run by the sick children's trust. It enabled us to stay close to Ava during a very stressful and upsetting time. It also gave us a safe homely place for Austin to visit us.

When Ava was going into the heart transplant list the sick children's trust reserved us a space in there house in great ormond street. However When Ava was moved to Brompton, I contacted them and unfortunately due to the hospital being in one of the most expensive parts of London they wer unable to house us there as it's so expensive. with funding and donations this could be a thing of the past. The sick children's trust are an amazing charity who looked after us so well in the early days of Ava's journey and we are so grateful to them!

So please help us to keep this charity going to help other families stay close to their children in times of need.
